Railtrack To Leave FTSE 100

FTSE, the global index group, today confirms that Railtrack Group plc will be deleted from the UK’s benchmark index. It will be replaced in the FTSE 100 by retailer Next plc. These changes were approved this afternoon at a regular quarterly meeting of FTSE’s independent practitioner Committee, and will be applied to the index at close of business on Friday 15th June.

The Committee will also review the FTSE 250, FTSE 350 Yield and FTSE techMARK indices. Details of changes made to these indices will be available this evening at http://www.ftse.com
