Quarterly Review Euronext 100 And Next 150: Major Changes In Relation To Integration Of Portuguese Companies

As a result of the quarterly review of 28 February 2002 the following changes will be effective as of Tuesday 2 April 2002.

Euronext 100

Crédit Agricole, Portugal Telecom, Banco Comercial Português, EDP, Brisa, Cimpor and Banco Espirito Santo will enter the Euronext 100 index.

CNP Assurances, BIC, Vedior, Sagem, Agfa-Gevaert, Rhodia and Galeries Lafayette will be removed from the Euronext 100 index.

Next 150

The following stocks will enter the Next 150 index:
BIC, Vedior, Sagem, Agfa-Gevaert, Rhodia, Galeries Lafayette, Vodafone Telecel, Sonae, BPI, Bolloré Investissement, Telegraaf Holdingmij, Jerónimo Martins, PT Multimédia, Sonae.com, Semapa-s. Inv. Gestão and Portucel.

The following stocks will be removed from the Next 150 index:
KPNQwest, Crucell, Unit 4 Agresso, Eurofins Scient., Fimatex, Geveke, Bull, Genesys, Solving Intl, Avenir Telecom, Euler, Louvre, Foncia Groupe, Tredi and Metrologic Group.

Next Prime

As a result of the quarterly review of the Euronext 100 the following changes will be made to the NextPrime index. As of Tuesday 2 April 2002 Vedior and Rhodia will enter the NextPrime index.

Please note: all these changes are subject to corporate actions during the period between the announcement date and the effective date.

The Euronext 100 and Next 150 index have been published since 2 October , 2000. They are constituted of the 250 securities with the highest market capitalisations, traded on the official markets of Euronext. In order to be included in the indices the securities must meet liquidity criteria that are specified in the rules of the indices. Euronext Indices is the compiler of the indices under the supervision of the independent Euronext Indices Steering Committee.
