The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the quarterly re-ranking of the NASDAQ Q-50 Index (Nasdaq:NXTQ), which will become effective prior to market open on Monday, March 19, 2012.
The following nine securities will be added to the Index: Frontier Communications Company (Nasdaq:FTR), MercadoLibre, Inc. (Nasdaq:MELI), ON Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq:ONNN), Qiagen N.V. (Nasdaq:QGEN), Ryanair Holdings plc (Nasdaq:RYAAY), SXC Health Solutions Corp. (Nasdaq:SXCI), TripAdvisor, Inc. (Nasdaq:TRIP), Texas Instruments Incorporated (Nasdaq:TXN) and Viacom Inc. (Nasdaq:VIAB).
The Index is designed to track the performance of the 50 securities that are next in line to replace the securities currently included in the NASDAQ-100 Index®. As a result of the re-ranking, the following nine securities will be removed from the Index: Deckers Outdoor Corporation (Nasdaq:DECK), Fortinet, Inc. (Nasdaq:FTNT), Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:MDRX), NII Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:NIHD), NetEase.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:NTES), Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq:OTEX), Patterson Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq:PDCO), Rovi Corporation (Nasdaq:ROVI), and Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:RVBD).
