In line with the social responsibility of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) and the precautionary measures taken to combat the Covid-19, the QSE’s Marketing and Communications Department launched a distance learning program, which includes free online courses for the public. The courses, which will be given by a group of specialized university professors and QSE experts, are aimed to promote securities investment and trading awareness among various segments of the local community.
On this occasion, Mr. Rashid bin Ali Al Mansoori, CEO of Qatar Stock Exchange, said that this program is part of QSE keenness to promote investment and financial literacy in the country in a way that contributing to the sustainability goals as well as the human and economic pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 aiming to build a vibrant knowledge based economy.
More than 900 students enrolled in QSE’s financial literacy program in 2019, and since 2016, more than 5,000 university and school students have benefited from our educational programs, Al Mansoori pointed out
It is noteworthy that the QSE was recognized this year as the best financial institution in achieving social responsibility and received a prize for its effective role in achieving ESG (environmental, social and governance) among listed companies and promoting financial literacy among citizens and residents.
