Provisional Translation Of The “Opinion On The Application Of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) In Japan (Interim Report)”

The Financial Services Agency (FSA) today published a provisional English translation of the “Opinion on the Application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Japan (Interim Report)”, which was approved and published by the Business Accounting Council (BAC) on June 30, 2009.

Prior to this publication by the BAC, the Planning and Coordination Committee of the BAC agreed on the Interim Report on June 11, 2009 and the summary was released on the FSA website on June 12, 2009.

The BAC approved the Interim Report as its Opinion on June 30, 2009.
