Press Conference By Taro Aso, Japan's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister Of Finance, And Minister Of State For Financial Services - Personnel Changes - Securities And Exchange Surveillance Commission

At today’s (Friday, June 28, 2013, from 10:05 am to 10:35 am) Cabinet meeting the Cabinet approved changes in senior officials at the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Services Agency, and I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the main changes.

Regarding changes in personnel at or above the bureau director-general level, Manabu Morimoto will leave his post as Director-General of the Planning and Coordination Bureau and be replaced by Shigehiro Kuwabara, currently Director-General of the Inspection Bureau. Mr. Kuwabara’s successor as Director-General of the Inspection Bureau will be Nobuchika Mori, currently Vice Commissioner for Policy Coordination, while Mr. Mori’s successor as Vice Commissioner for Policy Coordination will be Hidenori Mitsui, currently a Deputy Director-General of the Planning and Coordination Bureau. Mario Takeno will also leave his post as Secretary-General of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission and be replaced by Yasuhito Omori, currently a Deputy Secretary -General of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission. Ryutaro Hatanaka, Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency, Kiyoshi Hosomizo, Director-General of the Supervisory Bureau, and Masamichi Kono, Vice Commissioner for International Affairs will all retain their posts.
