Presentation Of Austrian Blue-Chip Companies And Wiener Börse In New York

Date 28/11/2005

Already for the third time, Wiener Börse and its leading companies will be presenting themselves in the international financial center of New York: On November 28, Wiener Börse's management and company officials will meet US investors and analysts in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in an effort to convince them of the benefits of the Austrian stock market.

Companies to be featured in New York

This year’s roadshow in New York is again organized in cooperation with Erste Bank and the brokerage firm, Auerbach Grayson. A number of major domestic companies, such as Andritz, Betandwin, Böhler-Uddeholm, Erste Bank, EVN, Flughafen Wien, Mayr-Melnhof, Palfinger, RHI, Telekom Austria, Verbund, voestalpine and Wienerberger, have accepted the invitation to attend the conference. The interest of US institutional investors in Austrian blue chips is again considerable: More than 60 one-on-one sessions and small group presentations with the 35 attending clients have been arranged, which means a total of nearly 80 individual contacts with investors during this one-day conference.

Successful roadshow program 2005

The New York conference terminates this year’s roadshow program of Wiener Börse and its cooperation partners. By the end of the year, eight conferences at international financial centers will have been held in collaboration between Wiener Börse and banks such as BA CA, Erste Bank, Raiffeisen Centrobank and Deutsche Bank, and attended by some 250 investors in group presentations and more than 450 one-on-one talks, which again is a marked increase over last year.

In 2006, Wiener Börse and Austrian banks will again be organizing a series of joint roadshows to offer issuing companies the opportunity to present themselves to the international investment community.
