NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced the listing of the PowerShares Emerging Markets Infrastructure Portfolio ETF (NYSE Arca: PXR) on NYSE Arca. The ETF will track the S-Network Emerging Infrastructure Builders Index.
The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in securities of companies involved in the following sectors related to infrastructure construction and development in emerging market countries: 1) construction and engineering; 2) construction machinery; 3) construction materials; 4) diversified metals and mining; 5) heavy electrical equipment; 6) industrial machinery; and 7) steel. The underlying index currently includes the securities of approximately 67 companies traded in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, the Russian Federation, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the U.S.
