Polski Koncern Naftowy Listed On The Warsaw Stock Exchange

Polski Koncern Naftowy (Polish Oil Company) with a market capitalisation of PLN 9.3 billion (USD 2.2 billion), started trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on November 26, 1999. The first quotation price for shares of Polski Koncern Naftowy (PKN) was PLN 22.20, on average 17% up from its public offering price. Shares of PKN are traded in the single-price system and in the continuous trading system. In the single-price auction system, total turnover reached PLN 309 million (USD 74 billion), with 6.97 million shares traded. In the continuous system, total turnover value amounted to PLN 173 million (USD 41 million), with 3.94 million shares traded. With the listing of PKN the number of companies listed on the Stock Exchange reached 220 and the market capitalisation exceeded USD 26 billion.
