The PLUS stock exchange is to hold a roadshow in Bristol designed to showcase growth company investment opportunities on the exchange to the private investment community. The roadshow will be held at Mercure Holland House on Thursday 30th September 2010.
Key market participants attending the event, such as private client investment managers, private investors, and retail brokers, will have the opportunity to meet and talk with senior management from successful PLUS companies around the UK about their businesses and the investment opportunities they offer. Companies presenting include:
- National Milk Records plc – collects and records data about dairy cows.
- Sutherland Health Group plc – a national supplier of sexual health, patient hygiene and diagnostic products.
- Zeta Compliance Group plc – provides products and services to enable organisations to ensure that they meet their Environmental, Health and Safety obligations.
Paul Haddock, Head of Capital Markets at the PLUS stock exchange, said: “There is a sizeable community of private investors in and around the Bristol area and it’s communities such as this that provide essential support and liquidity to smaller quoted companies. It is vital therefore that we take the time to tell them about the investment prospects on our exchange.
“These roadshow are a key part of a broader initiative by PLUS to help raise the profile and visibility of companies on our market and we have seen a positive impact on them following similar events we have held earlier this year in key financial centres around the UK.”
The event will be held over lunch between 12.00 and 14.30. The Mercure Holland House is located at Redcliffe Hill, Bristol, BS1 6SQ. Three’s a Crowd, the PLUS-quoted events management firm, has organised the roadshow in partnership with PLUS.
Chris Hughes of National Milk Records said: “We are well aware of the urgent need, as a small quoted company, for constant investor relations efforts to support liquidity – and the importance of promoting and introducing ourselves to the private investor audience. They are the lifeline of growing companies, and we’re absolutely delighted that the PLUS stock exchange is playing a key role in support of this. We presented at the Manchester PLUS Retail Roadshow and it has been beneficial for us to reach to a community we might previously have found difficult to access.”
PLUS is focused on serving the specific needs of the private investor. The exchange gives investors the chance to access innovative financial products, as well as providing access to growth companies. PLUS has built a reputation as a market for non-standard products, and plans to further broaden the offering and list diverse asset classes.
