Pirelli & C. SPA Shares Increase In The S&P/MIB Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/MIB index effective after the close of trading Tuesday, March 08, 2005:

Pirelli & C. SPA (Italy, ISIN: IT0000072725) shares will increase to 5,172,160,289. The change is the result of the issue of new shares following the company’s rights issue in February 2005.
