PHLX Settles Government Investigations

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that is has entered into agreements with the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice as part of a global settlement that will end both agencies' investigations of the options market.

Philadelphia Stock Exchange Chairman Meyer S. ("Sandy") Frucher stated, "The PHLX is pleased to put these matters behind us and we look forward to working closely with our regulators and the other options exchanges to continue to strengthen and improve the options markets."
