Philadelphia Stock Exchange Elects Two People To Board Of Governors

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) elected two people to its Board of Governors on March 12, 2002. All terms are for three years and become effective on April 3.

John L. Cantwell, Jr. was elected to serve as an Equity On-Floor Governor. He currently serves as senior vice president and manager of George Weiss & Co. LLC (GWA & Co. LLC). Mr. Cantwell is responsible for all aspects of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Inc. (PHLX) operations of GWA & Co. LLC. Prior to this, he was an equity specialist with BHC Trading Corp. Mr. Cantwell was also associated with Dean Witter & Co. in various capacities serving mainly as director of institutional & retail equity trading department in New York City.

Michael J. Curcio was elected to serve as an Off-Floor Governor. He currently serves as executive vice president of customer relationship management for TD Waterhouse Investor Services Inc. Mr. Curcio is responsible for the retail strategy and oversight of more than 150 branch offices and three investment centers. Prior to this, Mr. Curcio ran the national retail services division, where he was responsible for the firm's call centers and order flow management.
