Philadelphia Stock Exchange Board Of Governors Elects Christopher R. Carter To Its Board

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today the election of Christopher R. Carter to its Board of Governors filling a vacant seat of an off-floor broker governor. Mr. Carter is a managing director of Credit Suisse First Boston in the Equity Division based in New York. He is global head of equity options and structured derivatives and is responsible for customer trading and proprietary arbitrage of listed and structured equity derivatives.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Carter was based in Hong Kong and Tokyo and had responsibility for Japanese Equities, Equity Trading and Equity Derivatives and Convertibles Sales and Trading in the Pacific.

Prior to joining CSFB, Mr. Carter was managing director in charge of European and Japanese Equity Derivatives at Bankers Trust. He began his career with Bankers Trust trading equity derivatives in New York and traded in both Tokyo and London prior to moving to Hong Kong for Credit Suisse First Boston.

Mr. Carter received his M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. in economics from Brigham Young University.
