The PHLX Defense Sector Index is an equal dollar weighted index comprised of 18 of the most active and highly-capitalized stocks involved in the aerospace and defense industry. Components in this index include Northrop Grumman, Boeing, General Dynamics and Raytheon.
The sector index, which was requested by many Wall Street firms, is scheduled to begin trading in the next several weeks.
