The Dow Jones STOXX Football index tracks publicly traded football clubs throughout Europe and thus represents the breadth and depth of the European football industry. The index currently consists of 28 components and is down -1,26% since the last Football World Cup finals held on June 30, 2002 and down -10,11% since March 1, 2006, the beginning of the 100 day countdown period.
The Dow Jones STOXX 50 index which measures the 50 blue chip sector leaders in Europe is up 7,68% since June 30, 2002 and down -5,00% over the last a hundred days.
