Woolworths Limited (Australia, SEDOL: 6981239, GICS Code : 30101030), a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index, will increase its shares to 1,162,372,154. This change is the result of a scheme of arrangement in which Woolworths will acquire the New Zealand assets of Foodland Limited for 81,231,641 shares.
The following change will be made in the S&P/ASX 50 index effective after the close of trading on Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 (pending relevant approvals):
Mayne Group Limited (Australia, SEDOL: 6574606, GICS Code: 35102010), a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index, will demerge into Mayne Pharma and Symbion Health. The demerger will be effected through a capital reduction of $2.49, which will be distributed via an in-specie distribution of one new Mayne Pharma (MYP) security. Mayne Pharma (MYP) will be added to the S&P/ASX 50 at a price of $2.49, with 649,478,236 shares. Mayne Group (MAY) will be renamed Symbion Health (SYB), and will remain in the S&P/ASX 50 with an adjusted price (-$2.49).
