Total number of trades reached 6,492,080 up 34.7% compared to July 1999. Daily average was 324,604, down 5.39% compared to June (343,125). July 21 was the most active day with 378,752 trades and July 3, the least active with 229,892.
Daily amounts traded reached EUR 4.2 billion compared to EUR 4.57 billion in June. The busiest day was July 13 with EUR 7.57 billion and the slackest was July 10 with EUR 2.79 billion.
For the whole month, amounts traded on ParisBourse systems reached EUR 83.91 billion a 37.85% rise compared to July 1999 (EUR 60.87 billion).
For the seven months of the year, the number of trades totaled 59.16 million compared to 31.49 million over the same period in 1999. Amounts traded reached EUR 667 billion compared to EUR 385 billion for the first seven months of 1999.
In July, 17 new companies were listed for the first time on ParisBourse markets : 3 on the Second Marché with Tredi environnement, Cesar and AB Groupe, 9 on the Nouveau Marché with BAC Majestic, Optima Direct, Datatronic, Infovista, ESI Group, Aufeminin.com, Keyrus-Progiware, Cybersearch and SQLI and 5 on the Premier Marché with EADS, Oberthur Card System, Wanadoo, Vivendi Environnement and HSBC Holding plc raising EUR 6.87 billion.
On July 31 2000, total market capitalization for the Paris Bourse (Premier, Second and Nouveau Marché) reached EUR 1,714 billion.
