Panama Stock Exchange: Weekly Report August 10 – August 14

Panama Stock Exchange (BVP) recorded transactions amounting to U.S. $ 10.5 million between 10 and August 14. Securities trade and bonds were the most negotiated instruments. The values placed were U.S. $ 8.6 million, of which the Banco Internacional de Costa Rica traded $ 3.4 million, La Ipotecaria placed U.S. $ 2.7 million and the Finanzas Y Creditos del Hogar (House Finance and Appropriations) U.S. $ 1.5 million.

Bonds negotiated amounted toU.S. $ 769,000, of which Banco General traded $ 750,000 and the International Bank of Costa Rica posted U.S. $ 19,000. Also repurchased shares amounted to U.S. $ 349,243.92. In the previous week , preferred shares were traded at U.S. $ 575,399.50 and investment share $ 110,012.22. Furthermore cumulative preference shares were traded at a price of $ 100.00.

Shares were negotiated from the following companies: BG Financial Group, which closed the week at $ 26.50 and General Investment Company to $ 37.80 and amounted to $ 98,072.00.

The index of the Panama Stock Exchange closed the week at 206.42 units, with a yield of 2.58% so far this year.
