"Jon has demonstrated strong leadership skills on a number of critical projects, including PCX Plus, our new options trading system," said Philip D. DeFeo, PCX Chairman and CEO. "He's been a fine addition to our staff and is well-deserving of this promotion."
Werts began his PCX career as a clerk on the San Francisco equities floor with Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette, Pershing Trading Company Division. In 1997, he was named a vice president of the firm and given responsibility for its PCX specialist operations. He was an active member of several committees, and served two terms as President of the San Francisco Specialists Association. Prior to joining Pershing, Werts worked in the Office of Presidential Speechwriting at The White House.
Werts holds a BA in business administration from California State University, Hayward. He resides in San Francisco with his wife and daughter.
