- Manuel Conthe, Spanish market regulator CNMV’s Chairman, will speak on the first day.

- Latibex to host a conference for retail investors on Friday, 18th.
The seventh gathering of the Latibex Forum, hosted by Bolsa de Madrid, will start tomorrow. The event will last three days until 18th November. In this gathering, there will be 70 Latin American companies and over 500 major figures from the national and international financial community.
The opening will be presided over by Antonio Zoido, Chairman, BME, and will have the presence of Francisco González, Chairman BBVA, Iñigo de Oriol, Chairman, Iberdrola, José Sergio Gabrielli, Chairman, Petrobras, Antonio Brufau, Chairman, Repsol-YPF, Emilio Botín, Chairman Grupo Santander, César Alierta, Chairman, Telefónica and representatives of Latin American companies, investment banks and analysts.
Manuel Conthe, CNMV’s Chairman, will speak during the first day’s lunch. On the second day, Enrique Iglesias, Secretary General of the Conferencia Iberoamericana (SEGIB), and Francisco Luzón, Managing Director, Grupo Santander, will debate the region’s financial systems. Madrid’s Mayor, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón, will close the Forum.
This gathering provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into the Latin American economies and companies. Together with the sectoral panels – where speakers will be presenting their companies’ strategies and financial results – the Forum will have the presence of such outstanding economic and political representatives from both sides of the Atlantic as Guido Mantega, Chairman, BNDES, Felipe Larraín, Proffesor at the Universidad Católica de Chile, Hugo Sarmiento, CFO, CAF, and the Chairmen of the Colombian and Caracas Stock Exchanges.
The relevance of the attending companies and political institutions make this Forum the main gathering of its type in Europe.
During the three days of the Forum, one-to-one meetings will take place between investors and companies to allow the former to receive first-hand information from the issuers as well as helping companies test the potential of the European market as a source of finance. Latibex, the link between stock markets in Europe and Latin America, is the third biggest market for Latin American stocks by market capitalisation and thus strengthens its commitment to facilitating trading in Latin American blue-chips in a dynamic, efficient and transparent way.
Latibex is going to host, for the first time, a conference geared to retail investors, in which the different investment alternatives offered by Latin American companies quoted in Euro will be examined. The event will take place at the Bolsa de Madrid Palace, on 18 November, after the closure of the Forum.
