Oslo Børs Completes Allocation Of Companies To Liquidity Categories

Date 10/06/2004

As already announced, Oslo Børs will implement new categories for listed companies based on liquidity with effect from Monday 4 October 2004. The allocation of companies to the five categories when they come into effect (OBX, OB Match, OB Standard, OB New and OB PCC) has now been decided, and details are available on the Oslo Børs company message system: The allocation of companies

The initial allocation of companies to categories is based on the period 1 December 2003 - 31 May 2004. The categories will be rebalanced every six months (June and December) and the first rebalancing will take place on 17 December 2004 based on the period 1 June - 30 November 2004.

OBX will normally include the 25 most-traded shares in accordance with the rules in force from time to time for the OBX index.

OM Match will include all shares with a minimum of 10 trades per day on average over the previous six-month period, except shares included in the OBX index.

OB Standard will include all shares with fewer than 10 trades per day on average over the previous six-month period.

OB New will include all shares that have been traded for less than two months at the rebalancing date.

OB PCC will include all primary capital certificates.
