Oslo Børs Fixed Income Marketplaces Continue To Set New Records

Date 09/05/2014

The volume of new issues so far this year is higher than the record level set for the same period last year. Never before have there been so many borrowers and so many fixed income issues on the Oslo Børs and Nordic ABM marketplaces.

This year's high level of new issue activity continued in April. New issues of bonds and certificates in April, excluding issues by the Norwegian government, raised NOK 22.8 billion. This brings the total amount raised by new issues in the first four months of the year to NOK 106.6 billion, which is NOK 3.5 billion higher than for the same period last year.

It is not only the volume of new issues that is setting new records. Never before have there been so many borrowers and so many fixed income issues on the Oslo Børs and Nordic ABM marketplaces. The total value of outstanding fixed income issues reached an all-time high of NOK 1,456 billion at the end of April.
