The Oslo Børs web site has attracted strong growth in traffic over the last 5-6 years. At the same time there has been a continuous increase in demand for rapid access to more information on the Norwegian securities market. Oslo Børs has responded by committing resources over a considerable period to developing a new web site. The new site offers significantly more information on individual listed securities, and represents an all-round improvement in terms of both technology and user-friendliness.
Users will find it very easy to find the information they need on www.oslobors.no thanks to its advanced navigation system and search facility. The new site also offers a free service known as ´My page´ which allows the user to follow prices for his or her own list of shares, fixed-income securities and derivatives. Further information on the individual securities in the user´s list is readily available.
The new web site also provides all the services previously available on the old web site, and www.oslobors.no therefore continues to offer a broad range of information on the Norwegian market, including a section devoted to expertise on corporate governance. The new site also provides unique access to the official insider register that lists everyone classified as a primary insider in listed companies.
"We are proud at Oslo Børs to launch this new web site with the functionality and user-friendliness that up-to-date technology makes possible. The new site gives everyone involved in the Oslo market quick and easy access to very extensive information and data on listed companies and other matters relevant to the Norwegian securities market", comments Sven Arild Andersen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Oslo Børs.
The new web site has been developed in collaboration with the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, which intends to launch a similar service with broadly similar content.
