Now that New Trading Platform for Hercules-listed domestic stocks is prepared to be launched in advance of other products, as scheduled, OSE would like to announce its launch date as described below.
Meanwhile, for New Trading Platform for other products than Hercules-listed domestic stocks, OSE is planning to determine the launch date in early February. This takes into consideration the operational status of New Trading Platform partially-launched for Hercules-listed domestic stocks, preparation status of OSE and OSE’s Transaction Participants, and so on.
1. Launch of New Trading Platform
Products: Hercules-listed domestic stocks (Please see NOTE)
Planned Launch Date: Monday, January 30, 2006

- Products other than Hercules-listed domestic stocks, including Hercules-listed foreign stocks and Nikkei 225 Futures & Options, are traded by the current trading platform and terminals.
- J-NET trading of Hercules-listed domestic stocks is conducted by the current J-NET trading platform.
- Stock prices and bids/offers of Hercules-listed domestic stocks continue to be
disseminated by the current market information dissemination system
(Electronic Information System). For bid/offer information, only the best
bid/offer are disseminated. Multiple bids/offers (8 best bids/offers respectively
at a maximum) are planned to be disseminated from Market Data System at the
final launch of the new systems for all the products, scheduled for the end of
February.
* Although stock prices of Hercules-listed domestic stocks are disseminated through the new market information dissemination system (Market Data System), it is deemed as a test dissemination, in view of various conditions both inside and outside OSE, until the new systems are launched for all the products.
- Order-processing capacity of New Trading Platform is approximately 7 times larger than the current trading platform; however, until the final launch of Market Data System, in order not to place excessive burdens on the current market information dissemination system (Electronic Information System), when many orders concentrate and temporary delay occurs in dissemination of stock price information etc., OSE will respond to it promptly with market administration methods, the same as before.
- These measures will be taken until New Trading Platform for products other than Hercules-listed domestic stocks and Market Data System are launched. OSE would like to extend our sincere apologies for any inconveniences to investors and Transaction Participants, and request you to understand such situations and exercise your due caution when trading.
