Options On "LUKOil" Futures Contract Start Trading On Futures & Options On The RTS Stock Exchange

The options contract on "LUKOil" futures started trading on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) on June 5th. 1 022 contracts with 5,6 million rubles in underlying value changed hands.

FORTS participants currently trade 7 futures and 3 options contracts.

"We are currently witnessing a rapid growth in our clients' interest in options: in the last six months trading volume and open interest grew more than five times. So we decided to offer market participants the options contract on "LUKOil" futures, a new instrument that would give investors an opportunity to implement various investment strategies," - says Roman Gorunov, director of the derivatives products department. "In the future RTS plans to further expand its product line", adds Gorunov.
