Single Stock Option Contracts were introduced for the first time at Tehran Stock Exchange on 18 December 2016.
The call option contracts started trading on the above date, and it is expected to shortly develop put option market as well.
The existing option contracts are exercised as European options.
On the first day of trading, more than 15000 contracts were traded in 270 transactions at the total value of IRR 25 Billion.
