OneChicago Reports Volume Increase For May 2003

OneChicago, LLC today announced that it traded 101,689 contracts in May, which is a 28% increase over April. The month included a record-high daily volume of 16,962 May 5.

Open interest stood at 90,967 contracts May 30. Average daily trading volume was 4,842, also a 28% increase over April.

The top five security futures products by volume in May were: DIAMONDS® (DIA) with 16,118 contracts traded, Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) 6,011, Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) 3,958, Nokia Corp. (NOK) 3,431 and Lowe's Cos. (LOW) 3,400. Each contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.

The Exchange has a total of 90 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS Trust.
