OneChicago Reports Volume For July 2003, Trades One-Millionth Contract

OneChicago, LLC today announced that it traded 123,273 contracts in July, the second highest monthly volume for the Exchange after trading 218,730 contracts in June, a quarterly-expiration month.

Open interest stood at 130,152 contracts July 31. Average daily trading volume was 5,603 contracts.

The top five security futures products by volume in July were DIAMONDS® (DIA1C) with 19,212 contracts traded, Amgen Inc. (AMGN1C) 11,428, eBay Inc. (EBAY1C) 10,628, Microsoft Corp. (MSFT1C) 4,856 and Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT1C) 4,677. Each contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.

The Exchange has a total of 106 products: 91 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS Trust, and 15 futures on the Dow Jones MicroSector IndexesSM.

OneChicago also is pleased to announce that this morning the one-millionth contract was traded since the Exchange's Nov. 8, 2002, launch.
