OneChicago Reports Record Volume Week

OneChicago, LLC broke record daily volume, weekly volume and open interest records last week trading a total of 180,327 contracts during the week that ended September 12.

On September 10, the Exchange hit a daily volume record of 123,600 contracts, which is equivalent to 12.36 million shares of common stock. Open interest surpassed the 200,000 mark.

Futures on the Dow Jones MicroSector IndexesSM, launched June 23, traded a record 824 contracts last week

The top three security futures products by volume last week were Exxon Mobil (XOM1C) with 7,785 contracts, Starbucks (SBUX1C) 7,373 and Cisco Systems (CSCO1C) 7,357.

Each contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock.

The Exchange has a total of 109 products: 94 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS® Exchange Traded Fund, and 15 futures on the MicroSector Indexes.
