OneChicago, LLC today reported that 211,809 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in October 2008. YTD volume stands at 3,565,182.
Open interest stood at 174,466 contracts in October 2008.
Each single stock futures (SSF) contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock. The top five SSF contracts by volume in October were:
