OneChicago, LLC today announced that 85,772 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in July. Open interest stood at 122,055 contracts July 30. Each single stock futures contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.

The top five security futures products by volume in July were:

  • Sun Microsystems (SUNW1C)
  • Schering-Plough Corp. (SGP1C)
  • Pfizer (PFE1C)
  • Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS1C)
  • Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (BBBY1C)
The Exchange has a total of 118 products: 103 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS Trust, and 15 futures on the Dow Jones MicroSector IndexesSM.
