The top five security futures products by volume in February were: Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) with 42,146 contracts traded, DIAMONDS (DIA) 9,846, Dell (DELL) 3,725, Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) 1,897 and Cisco Systems (CSCO) 1,821. Each contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock.
Microsoft's monthly volume total is the highest for any security futures since the products began trading Nov. 8, 2002. The Exchange has a total of 85 single stock futures as well as futures on the DIAMONDS Trust.
