The Exchange listed 16 new single stock futures in August, including futures on Chicago Mercantile Holdings Inc. (CME1C), which traded 200 DEC04 contracts August 23, and Google Inc. (GOOG1C), which traded a total of 252 contracts August 27, their respective first days of trading on OneChicago.
Each single stock futures contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.
The top five security futures products by volume in August were:
- Dupont (E.I. Du Pont de Nemours) (DD1C)
- PepsiCo Inc. (PEP1C)
- General Motors Corp. (GE1C)
- Eastman Kodak (EK1C)
- Eli Lilly and Co. (LLY1C)
