OneChicago Reports April 2004 Volume

OneChicago, LLC today announced that 103,454 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in April, a 30% increase over April 2003 volume. Open interest stood at 161,822 contracts April 30. Each single stock futures contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.

The top five security futures products by volume in April were:

  • Nokia Corp. ADR (NOK1C)
  • DIAMONDS® Exchange Traded Fund (DIA1C)
  • Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ1C)
  • Bank One (ONE1C)
  • Amgen Inc. (AMGN1C)
The Exchange has a total of 109 products: 94 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS Trust, and 15 futures on the Dow Jones MicroSector IndexesSM.
