OneChicago Publishes CFTC-Approved Rulebook

OneChicago, LLC yesterday announced the publication of the Exchange's rulebook on its Web site at www.onechicago.com.

The rulebook contains OneChicago's official rules as of Sept. 9, 2002 regarding Exchange membership and governance, access to OneChicago, trading procedures, Exchange operations and business conduct.

OneChicago Chairman and Chief Executive Officer William J. Rainer said, "OneChicago has developed our rules and market regulation processes using the guiding principle of creating an open, fair and transparent market for security futures. We are committed to the integrity of our markets and will ensure OneChicago's rules are vigorously applied for the benefit of all market participants."

The rules will govern trading of OneChicago's security futures products, including more than 80 single stock futures and 15 futures on narrow-based stock indices. OneChicago's products will be electronically traded and can be offered to investors through either securities accounts or futures accounts.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved the Exchange's rulebook. OneChicago's listing standards and margin rules are awaiting review and publication by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
