The Exchange also hit a new single-day volume record of 243,198 contracts December 9. The previous daily volume record was 123,600 contracts on September 10. Each contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.

- Exxon Mobil Corp. (XON1C) 9,502
- Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT1C) 9,068
- PeopleSoft Inc. (PSFT1C) 8,666
- Procter & Gamble Co. (PG1C) 8,374
The top five security futures products by volume for the year were:
- DIAMONDS® Trust ETF (DIA1C) with 127,424 contracts traded
- Microsoft Corp. (MSFT1C) 114,915
- Amgen Inc. (AMGN1C) 43,801
- Dell Inc. (DELL1C) 41,294
- Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO1C) 36,429

OneChicago opened for trading November 8, 2002, listing futures contracts on 21 single stocks. The Exchange now has a total of 110 products: 95 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS Trust, and 15 futures on the Dow Jones MicroSector Indexessm.
