Date 20/11/2000

BLOOMBERG NEWS and WGN-TV have debuted "On the Money" live from the CHICAGO STOCK EXCHANGE on the WGN News. "On The Money," a ninety-second report featuring Bloomberg News reporter Anupy Singla, can be seen twice each morning, prior to and after the financial markets open on the WGN Morning News and on the WGN News at noon.

"WGN-TV Chicago is the latest television station in a major American city to begin airing Bloomberg Television custom reports, joining Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Pittsburgh and Detroit," said Katherine Oliver, Global Director of Bloomberg Television and Radio. "With the resources of our worldwide news organization, Bloomberg News, behind us, our custom reports allow us to tailor the content and news coverage to fit the needs of the individual market."

"Business news is more important today than it ever has been," commented Carol Fowler, WGN-TV News Director. "This partnership with Bloomberg and the Chicago Stock Exchange allows WGN-TV to give our viewers the most accurate up-to-the-minute information on the markets and consumer news - it's news that directly affects them."

Bob Forney, CHX president and CEO commented, "This is a wonderful opportunity for investors to get timely market information with a backdrop at one of the fastest-growing exchanges in the world where the broadest array of securities are traded, including NYSE, Amex and Nasdaq issues."

Anupy Singla has been an agricultural commodities reporter for Bloomberg News in Chicago since last year. She joined Bloomberg in 1997 as a multi-media producer. She then spent a year working on the general assignment desk at Bloomberg News' Princeton bureau. She holds a masters degree in Japanese Studies from the East West Center and University of Hawaii and a Bachelors degree in International Relations. She has also studied broadcast journalism at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism. Anupy spent several years in Washington as a legislative aide to a senior member of Congress.

The Chicago Stock Exchange was founded May 15, 1882 and is the second most active stock exchange in terms of share and trade volume. The CHX is also the fastest-growing exchange, providing the strongest force for competition to all U.S. markets. The CHX trades more than 4,500 NYSE, Amex, Nasdaq and CHX-exclusive issues, more than any other stock exchange in the world.

WGN-TV is Chicago's WB network affiliate, programming a strong schedule of news, sports and entertainment. WGN-TV is Chicago's #1 choice for local news, Morning, Noon and Nine. In the most recent Nielsen ratings survey (July 2000) WGN-TV was the second most-watched TV station in the market, sign-on to sign-off, beating the NBC, CBS, FOX and UPN stations. Via satellite/cable distribution, WGN's signal is available in over fifty million homes outside Chicago. For additional information, visit WGN-TV's web site at www.wgntv.com.
