OMHEX is a leading provider of marketplace services and transaction technology to financial and energy markets. Through the HEX Integrated Markets division, OMHEX operates northern Europe's largest securities market. This division includes the exchanges in Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn and Riga. Through its exchange operations within Stockholmsbörsen, HEX Helsinki, HEX Tallinn and HEX Riga, it offers investors access to 80% of the Nordic and Baltic equity markets. The central securities depositories in Finland, Estonia and Latvia are also part of HEX Integrated Markets.

Share trading

The average value of share trading per business day amounted to EUR 1 703 million during November (during the past 12-month period: EUR 1 683 million). The average number of trades per business day was 55 600 during November (during the past 12-month period: 52 742).

The turnover velocity during November was 102%.

Derivative trading

Average derivative trading volume in Swedish and Finnish equity and fixed-income products in November amounted to 327 802 contracts (during the past 12-month period: 351 291) per business day. The average number of contracts in equity derivative products in November amounted to 302 832 contracts (during the past 12-month period: 324 647 contracts) per business day, while the average number of contracts in fixed-income derivative products in November amounted to 24 970 contracts (during the past 12-month period: 26 643 contracts) per business day.

The total premium value for stock options in November amounted to EUR 3.9 million (during the past 12-month period EUR 4.7 million) per day.

Covered warrant trading

The average value of covered warrant trading per business day amounted to EUR 6.1 million in November (during the past 12-month period: EUR 4.8 million).

Index development

During November the OMX index decreased by 0.5%, the HEX25 index increased by 2.8%, the TALSE index decreased by 3.1%, and the RICI index decreased by 2.1%.

List changes

Shares

Total market value of all companies listed amounted to EUR 417 billion as of November 28 (November 29, 2002: EUR 392 billion.) In November, one company was listed on Stockholmsbörsen and one company was delisted. The total number of listed companies is 499, of which 282 companies are listed on Stockholmsbörsen, 145 are listed on HEX Helsinki, 14 are listed on HEX Tallinn and 58 are listed on HEX Riga.

Bonds

The total number of listed bonds is 1 716 of which 1 433 on Stockholmsbörsen, 261 on HEX Helsinki, 3 on HEX Tallinn and 19 on HEX Riga. In November 39 new bonds were registered on Stockholmsbörsen and 19 bonds were delisted. On HEX Helsinki 3 new bonds were registered during the month, while 10 were delisted. One bond was delisted on HEX Riga.

Covered Warrants

The total number of listed covered warrants is 1 398, of which 1 186 on Stockholmsbörsen and 212 on HEX Helsinki. In November 156 new covered warrants were listed on Stockholmsbörsen and 91 were delisted. In November 23 new covered warrants were listed on HEX Helsinki and 21 were delisted.

Market Surveillance

Stockholmsbörsen referred in November four cases of suspected illegal insider trading to the Financial Supervisory Authority. Stockholmsbörsen's Disciplinary Committee considered in November two cases involving breaches of Exchange rules and regulations. The Disciplinary Committee decided not to impose any sanctions in either of the cases.
