This is the first order of its kind for OM and it opens up a new market for us. It means that we are also able to take on the role of partner to smaller exchanges and we are proud to welcome Minneapolis Grain Exchange as our first Trading Service Provider client, comments Magnus Böcker, Head of OM's Division Technology.
Minneapolis Grain Exchange was founded in 1881 and trading in spring wheat contracts started as early as 1883. Today a number of different grain contracts are traded, as well as cottonseed and shrimp. During the fall, trading will start in corn and soybeans. For more information please visit www.mgex.com.
