OM Stockholm Exchange Extends Trading Hours To 20.00 CET

Today the OM Stockholm Exchange extends the ordinary trading day by 2½ hours to 20.00 (CET). The extension comprises all equities and Swedish stock derivatives. The ordinary trading hours are now 09.30 to 20.00 all days, except holidays and days preceding holidays.

The extension is a result of the increased retail trading in Sweden, a higher degree of international trading on the OM Stockholm Exchange and an ongoing international trend towards longer trading hours on the world's exhanges.

By extending the opening hours, we serve both the international investors' need to trade Swedish products over a longer time, and the growing interest from the retail segment to trade shares after ordinary office hours, says Simon Nathanson, acting CEO of OM Stockholm Exchange.
