Today OIC rolled out its new options education initiative, the Options Education Program. The Options Education Program brings together OIC’s full range of educational offerings and network of leading industry professionals to offer investors, whether novice or advanced, the best educational platform possible to learn about options for free.
A core component of the Options Education Program or OEP is the MyPath assessment tool, which allows investors to test their level of options knowledge for a personalized learning track. From there users will advance through a customized curriculum filled with online courses, podcasts and videos ranging from basics to advanced options topics. Students of the program can also learn about options in-person by attending live seminars and events hosted by experienced options instructors. As OEP students move through courses and build their options knowledge, they can reach out to the Investor Services help center at any time via phone, email or live chat with their options or program questions.
“As the industry’s trusted, unbiased resource for options education, OIC is thrilled to introduce the Options Education Program. This free program provides investors with access to leading industry professionals and a platform designed to their level of options knowledge where they can learn at their own pace,” said Mary Savoie, Executive Director, OIC and the Options Education Program.
With the continued support of the U.S. options exchanges and OCC, OIC has been the industry’s premiere resource for options education for over 20 years. Today, as the industry’s leading voice in options education, the OEP reflects our mission to provide education on the responsible use of options to a global audience of investors. This new identity for OIC’s educational program is also reflected in the OEP crest, which encapsulates the program’s four main educational goals: customized education, comprehensive courses, in-person learning and live options help.
