On October 2, 2006, Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA) a member of Unicredit Group, became a full member on the WSE equity and the derivatives markets. Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG is the ninth remote member operating on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

On October 4, 2006, 10-year T-bonds with floating interest, maturing on October 18, 2006, (abbreviated name DZ1006) were traded for the last time.

On October 5, 2006, allotment certificates for the F series bearer shares of ENERGOMONTAZ– POLNOC (abbreviated name ENERGOPN-PDA) were traded for the last time.

October 5, 2006, was the last day of trading for allotment certificates for the E series bearer shares of UNIMA 2000 SYSTEMY TELEINFORMATYCZNE (abbreviated name UNIMA-PDA).

On October 6, 2006, allotment certificates for the B series bearer shares of HYPERION Company (abbreviated name HYPERION-PDA) were traded for the last time on the Exchange.

On October 10, 2006, Asseco Slovakia, the first Slovakian company, debuted on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. 360,000 shares were introduced to trading. The issuer is an integrator of IT systems, supplier of technologies, solutions and services for financial and other sectors. The product portfolio of the issuer includes IT systems for banks, insurance companies, ATM card solutions, call centers, and others to individual needs of consumers.

On October 10, 2006, allotment certificates for the B series bearer shares of ONE-2-ONE Company (abbreviated name ONE2ONE-PDA) were traded for the last time on the Exchange.

On October 10, 2006, allotment certificates for the C series bearer shares of SKOTAN Company (abbreviated name SKOTAN-PDA) were traded for the first time.

On October 12–14, 2006 the 12th Polish Financial Forum „Your Money” took place. This Forum is addressed both to professionals and novices, corporate and institutional clients, small and medium enterprises and retail investors. The Forum was accompanied by public debates, presentations, various meetings, as well as a series of educational workshops prepared by the WSE.

On October 13, 2006, allotment certificates for the B series bearer shares of NARODOWY FUNDUSZ INWESTYCYJNY „PIAST” (abbreviated name 12PIAST-PDA) were traded for the last time on the Exchange.

Since October 16, 2006, the trading in shares of GRUPA ONET.PL has been suspended. The reason for suspension being a notification regarding compulsory acquisition notice.

Beginning October 16, 2006, the WSE allows for block trades concerning futures contracts or options. The block trade transactions shall be made outside the continuous trading system and the single-price auction system between 9:00 and 16:30 hours. All futures contracts and options may be traded in block trades. The regulations specify the minimum and maximum number of contracts and options, which may be subject of such transaction. The fees charged for block trades are identical as for transactions concluded on the central market. Also settlement and marking to the market procedures are the same as in case of the central market for futures contracts and options.

On October 17, 2006, the Warsaw Stock Exchange concluded a distribution agreement with a new data vendor - GL Trade. Such contracts had been signed this year also with Proquote and Factset. There are currently 42 data vendors cooperating with the WSE.

On October 18, 2006, the C series investment certificates of BPH Fundusz Inwestycyjny Zamkni?ty Bezpieczna Inwestycja 6 (closed-end investment fund, abbreviated name BPHFIZBI6) were listed for the first time.

Since October 19, 2006, in connection with the change of the Company name from MACROSOFT to MACROLOGIC, the Company shares are listed under a new abbreviated name ”MCLOGIC” and a ticker symbol „MCL”.

Following the trading session of October 20, 2006, a split of UNIMIL shares took place (split ratio 1:10).

Following October 20, 2006, the shares of PRZEDSI?BIORSTWO FARMACEUTYCZNE JELFA were delisted.

On October 24, 2006, DOM Development debuted on the WSE main market . 21,344,490 of the A series bearer shares and 2,705,882 allotment certificates concerning bearer shares of F series were introduced to trading. The issuer is active in several segments of residential construction market.

On October 25, 2006, CEZ Group debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. 592,210,843 shares were introduced to trading. CEZ is an international group which ranks among the top ten largest European companies on power markets, both as far as the number of its customers and its installed capacity are concerned. CEZ Group´s core activity is electrical energy production and its sale. However, the Group is active in other related areas such as raw material mining, processing of power by-products, construction and maintenance of power facilities. CEZ Group is the 24th and at the same time the 3rd foreign new listing in 2006. At present there are 9 foreign companies listed on the WSE. On the day of debut the market capitalisation of CEZ amounted to PLN 71 bn (app. EUR 18 bn), which made CEZ the largest company listed on the WSE. As far as the market capitalisation is concerned CEZ is the largest company in Central Europe.

On October 25, 2006, 3-year T-bonds with floating interest, maturing on November 5, 2006, were traded for the last time (abbreviated name TZ1106).

On October 26, 2006, the A series investment certificates of KBC Index ?wiatowych Nieruchomo?ci Fundusz Inwestycyjny Zamkni?ty (closed-end fund, abbreviated name KBCISNFIZ) were listed for the first time.

On October 26, 2006, allotment certificates for the B series bearer shares of EUROMARK POLSKA Company (abbreviated name EUROMARK-PDA) were traded for the last time on the Exchange.

At the close of the trading session on October 26, 2006, indices MIDWIG WIG, WIG-PL, WIRR and sub-sector index WIG-FOOD set their all-time highs. Index MIDWIG reached 3,646.38 pts., index WIG stood at 48,310.22 pts., index WIG-PL reached 48,335.87 pts. Index WIRR closed at the level of 11,535.98 pts, and sub-sector index WIG-FOOD at 37,256.11 pts.

On October 27, 2006, fixed-interest T-bonds maturing on October 25, 2017 (abbreviated name: DS1017) were traded for the first time.

On October 27, 2006, IPOPEMA SECURITIES S.A., a new WSE member, began operations on the WSE.

Following the trading session of October 27, 2006, a split of MEDIATEL shares took place (split ratio 1:5).

On October 30, 2006, five-year fixed-interest T-bonds maturing on November 12, 2006 (abbreviated name: PS1106) were traded for the last time.

On October 30, 2006, subscription rights to 7th issue of SWARZEDZ MEBLE shares (abbreviated name SWARZEDZ -PP) were traded for the first time.

On October 30, 2006, subscription rights to the H series shares of BUDOPOL – WROC?AW were traded for the first time (abbreviated name BUDOPOL-PP).

Users of the international order routing network GL NET, owned and operated by GL TRADE, gained access to the Warsaw Stock Exchange’s transaction system. This new solution significantly facilitates the access to the WSE central trading engine for all GL NET users.

In October, apart from newly-listed companies, shares of the following companies were introduced to trading: KREDYT BANK, DZ BANK POLSKA, INVAR & BIURO SYSTEM, COMPUTERLAND, GINO ROSSI, MOL, ENERGOMONTA? – PÓ?NOC, UNIMA, HYPERION, ONE2ONE, 12PIAST, BARLINEK, INSTAL KRAKÓW, CAPITAL PARTNERS, GETIN, 09KWIAT, EUROMARK POLSKA, TVN, 02NFI, 04PRO, RELPOL.
