The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) announced today a significant increase in total cleared contract volume for October 2023, reaching 1.68 billion contracts, a 50.5% increase year-over-year (YoY).
Key highlights include:
- Equity options contracts surged by 63% YoY to 958.8 million.
- Index options contracts rose by 39.4% YoY to 129.2 million.
- ETF options volumes increased by 36% YoY, totaling 586.6 million.
- Cleared futures contracts grew by 38.5% YoY to 5.95 million.
