NZX Welcomes Witan Investment Trust Plc To NZSX Market

New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) is pleased to welcome Witan Investment Trust plc to the NZSX Market today as an Overseas Listed Issuer.

Witan Investment Trust plc is one of the oldest investment trusts listed on the London Stock Exchange, having been established in 1909. Today it is one of the largest of the global growth trusts, with gross assets of approximately GBP1.5 billion, and more than 60,000 shareholders.

Managing Principal, Matthew Rose of Rose Capital Management Limited, said that Witan Investment Trust plc views listing in New Zealand as a means of further broadening its shareholder base of retail and private investors in an important market. "The company views its NZSX listing as an important platform to communicate its value proposition to a new set of potential investors seeking quality investment choices".
