NZX Quarterly Index Review Announced

Date 08/12/2006

New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) announced today the results of the September Quarterly Index review. There will be no additions to or deletions from the headline NZX 50 Index this quarter. New NZSX listings Barramundi Limited and Kermadec Property Fund Limited will be added to the NZX SmallCap Index, with Kermadec's addition subject to successful completion of the listing process.

Barramundi Limited listed on the NZSX Market in October, after an initial public offering (IPO) that raised $100 million, which is predominantly to be invested in Australian companies outside of the top 100 companies listed on the ASX. The ordinary shares, which were issued at $1.00, closed on 7 December at $1.11. Barramundi Limited also allotted IPO subscribers one warrant for every two ordinary shares subscribed for. When the price of the warrants is taken into account, Barramundi shareholders who participated in the IPO have made a return of over 25%. The expected quotation date for Kermadec Property Fund Limited is Monday 11 December.

Inclusion in or exclusion from an NZX Equity Index in no way reflects an opinion on any NZX Listed Issuer – index constituents are determined solely by the NZX Index Methodology.
