NZX Head of Markets Fiona Mackenzie, who also heads up the company’s Auckland office and has driven the development of the dairy futures market, will assume a broader role this month.
Taking the Head of Strategy role alongside the Markets role will see Fiona formally assume responsibility for strategy, finance and the investor relations portfolios. This will see her involved directly in managing costs and revenues, evaluating new business opportunities, and communicating with the market on NZX’s financial results.
Fiona Mackenzie said, “Since joining NZX nearly two years ago I’ve been focused one hundred percent on markets - both the equities and the derivatives side. Being able to connect a very outward facing role with what goes on in the engine room of the business means I’ll be able to make a more knowlegeable and valuable contribution to NZX in the future.”
NZX CEO Mark Weldon said, “This role will give Fiona the opportunity see across the entire business, and have a significant influence on the cost base and capital structure of NZX.”
