New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) announced today the acquisition of Investment Research Group Ltd (IRG) Data, an addition to the NZX Data business.
IRG Data provides a packaged data solution for financial research, offering historical data right back to 1983 with a strong and comprehensive online presence. This package includes prices, annual reports, financials and all other relevant company information.
NZX Head of Information Products and Fund Services, Columba Cryan said, “IRG Data is an excellent fit for the expanding NZX Data business. The acquisition of IRG Data means NZX can now provide data right across the market spectrum, from the rural sector, to the managed fund, wholesale and retail sectors. IRG Data joins NZX Agrifax and FundSource, which were both acquired by NZX in 2006.”
NZX will re-brand the acquired business under the NZX Data family of products.
Ownership of the IRG brand, IRG Media and IRG Portfolio remain with NZAX-listed investment company Viking Capital Ltd. Viking Capital announced the acquisition of IRG Ltd on 8 March this year.
