The New York Stock Exchange today opened its doors to His Excellency Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic , joined by his delegation of government officials. “We are honored to welcome the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic , H.E. Robert Fico, and his delegation to the New York Stock Exchange,” said NYSE Group, Inc. CEO John A. Thain. “This visit is an important step in partnering with the Republic of Slovakia and we are excited about the prospect of listing the first Slovak company one day.”
“I was very happy to visit the New York Stock Exchange, especially when I saw the Slovak flag hanging from its façade. It was a pleasure to see that Slovakia was visible here in such a nice way, and I hope that in the future, companies from Slovakia will participate on the NYSE,” said Prime Minister Fico.
The NYSE is home to 452 non-U.S. companies representing 47 countries, which are global and regional leaders in their respective industries.
