The New York Stock Exchange today welcomed His Excellency Felipe Calderón, President of Mexico and his wife, Mrs. Margarita Zavala. President Calderón and his wife met with NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer and commenced the day’s trading by ringing the NYSE Opening Bell.
“We are pleased to welcome President Calderon on his first official visit to the NYSE,” said NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer. “The NYSE is home to 18 Mexican companies, and we look forward to working together to further enhance our relationship with Mexico.”
“Today I met with NYSE CEO Duncan Niederauer to show our support and strengthen the ties between Mexico and the United States,” said H.E. Felipe Calderón, President of Mexico.
